For ages, the Akashic Records has been called the 'Mind of God', a system where every action, every thought, every word has been recorded. It exists outside of time, and space. Kroz, a serpent-like demon under the Star Birth, wants to use this to his own gain, to use the power to his own unknown advantage. The Royal Knights-- Void, Blaze, Sky, Bionic, Volt, Hail, Ocean, and Gaia try and defeat Kroz, but one thing is standing in their way: the invincible Aegis Barrier that Kroz has. The only way to access the records is through a Star Birth child, but for whatever reason, Kroz is not able to access the records, unless he has another one access it for him. Volt, along with Bionic who accidentally went with Volt, must find Kroz's record to find out how to defeat his barrier -- and Volt learns of a new identity named Aether in the process -- and who's Nillti and Einill -- who claims to be "Zero and Void"?
